First, the item pictured is the wrong item entirely so do NOT purchase if you are expecting anything like the above photo. Instead, this is an angled solar powered torch type light that is slanted to attach to the house. It is stainless steel (real) with a plastic glowing area and a single LED light inside. The quality of the light is decent...the stainless is quite nice, the mounting hardware a bit inferior and will likely need to be replaced with better quality hardware. The LED light provides a nice glow but not sufficient light to brighten anything other than the immediate area. The plastic provides safety and durability but only time will tell how long these actually hold up.
There is an on-off switch which is a very nice tough...just pop off the solar top and underneath you will see the switch. All in all, attractive and seem well made but the wrong photograph and limited brightness should be noted.
