Very nice and sturdy. Standard bulbs get quite hot, but found CFL's that work and are much cooler.
NOTE: the tightening mechanisms to adjust the height/angle can be stripped VERY easily so be careful not to overtighten. This happened to us, called house of troy and they sent out a replacment part right away. Good customer service!A quality product. Excellent design and functionality. Cannot think of a single way to improve any aspect of it. .
