I ordered 2 of these Kenroy Chimes Table Lamps. The lamp shades show online as white, they actually are a light taupe. The lamp shades are also made of a textured fabric and that was a surprise as well, but a pleasant one. The lamps look much more expensive then the are. They are heavy and well made. You will need to purchase a 3 way light bulb for the lamp. I looked for a long time for lamps for my "transitional" style living room. I am very happy with these lamps!
