This is an inexpensive little lamp so I didn't expect anything special. I got it because I wanted a very small lamp to sit on a side table in the entry hall. It doesn't look quite like the photo in the product description (from any angle); the top "stem" where the bulb and shade attaches is more prominent. It's okay for what I wanted it for, but it's not quite as cute as I thought it was going to be. It is very lightweight; I was almost concerned that the power cord itself was going to pull it off the table. It does come with a long-life bulb, which is a plus. I'm not unhappy with the purchases, but I probably would have gotten something else if I knew how it actually looked.As other reviewers have stated this is a small lamp. It does give off a bright light, however, not sure why it has a black cord seems clear or white would have been better.
