I bought this to install in a tight-fitting hallway (the stairs leading down to my basement) and it works great. I wanted a light that was covered at the top so that you didn't have a light shining in your eyes as you walked down the stairs and this is perfect for that. Nice-looking design and built well.

My upstairs bathroom is literally smaller than most walk-in closets. So when I needed to change the wall sconce I wanted to get something that would be as flat as possible against the wall so it didn't take up valuable space. This lights fairly well but I had to upgrade the bulbs to a higher output (using lower CFL) in order to have a daylight lighting option.

Glass is extremely flimsly and the product itself is cheap. We broke a piece simply by trying to unpack it. Needless to say, the item was returned and we found an more inexpensive, higher quality piece at a hardware store.
