I bought this lamp from another website and it cost me a bomb to ship directly from China. I've been using mine for roughly 8 months now and its working fine. I have 2 that I use. One on my laptop and the other one I clip on the wall as a cheap night light by using a USB extension cable via a USB wall plug. Now, the package says I'm not suppose to leave it on for longer than a few hours at a time. But so far, I have no problems with either one even when I leave them on for an entire day! No burning smell. No burning cable. No burnt out LED bulb. Nothing! BOTH are still working fine! However, I do NOT recommend you 'abuse' this lamp like I did! lol

My only gripe is, the contact on the cable that connects the huge black clip to the power source do get loose after a while. So, I need to twist it around the clip once, to get just the right angle to get it to light up. Other than that, this is a super lamp to get.

Now that I see it on Amazon, I plan to get a few more! Thanks Amazon!

I got the first shipment for my light today! Yippiee!!! It came in a box and it worked GREAT! Waiting for 2 others to come. Soon all the computers in my home will have one beside it! Saving me some electricity bill from switching either the room or table light on when my family is on the computer. And making it easier for us to do our work too. The kids are absolutely THRILL! Thanks so much! Very VERY happy! Highly recommended!

It is incredible what you get for 13 bucks! A super functional bright light. I have it always plugged into the computer. At the last power outage I clipped it onto a heavy book and used it as a standing lamp. It is brighter than some of my flashlights. I will buy more for Christmas as stocking stuffer. Great buy! Must have!

It has a 3-level brightness switch and thus covers a big range of reading preference. The design is good but the construction is filmsy. The goose neck is very thin and fragil and the case is made of cheap plastic. For some reason, the price has gone up by 33% in the last month. If you want a slick design, look elsewhere. If you just want a clumsy reading light, this is it.

Well, I'm currently living in a shared dorm so, with all the lights out, you need to get a decent reading lamp...Usually people buy reading lamps/desk lamps that contains common light bulbs therefore usually require a wall power socket nearby. This product is uses 28 bright LEDs, and even with only 4 of them turned on, it's already very bright...the stand/clamp is very stable and can accommodate 4 AA batteries (if you don't have an USB port around...). The product is very lightweight, so can easily be transported and moved around, the USB connecting cable has sufficient length to fit virtually any desk size (one can always use an extender if the length is not sufficient...).

It's a very nice product and compared to other options on the market, cheaper or not, this is sure top of the line. I would definitely buy it again.

I bought this because it looked like a good item. But in this instance it lasted only a few days before the connector shorted out due to cheap construction. It had to be disassembled, re-soldered, and added epoxy resin to strengthen the flimsy tiny port. The clamping force as well us super weak and it slides right mostly anything but the thickets of wood. Adding more rubber material inside the clamp would have help. This is a serious example of a case in you get what you paid for. Spend a few extra coins on a better quality lamp.
