Make sure you measure carefully before you buy this lamp the shade is HUGE. I had to return it. Also the listing says distressed black base I believe but it is NOT distressed. It is a smooth and shiny black which gives it a more transitional bordering on contemporary look, rather than traditional. It really is a beautiful lamp and great quality, but it just didn't work in my home due to the size.

This lamp is absolutely beautiful from the finish to the quality of the lamp. I purchased it after searching for over a month to get a lamp that would blend with my new oriental cocktail and end tables. My tables are bonded black leather with wonderful etchings of painted scenes in gold and muted red tones of women and men pushing carts, etc. To see it is to love it!
