I love touch lamps and wanted one that was a little different and nicer looking. I just moved into an apartment that has no overhead lighting and wanted something for my bedroom. I've had touch lamps in the past and one lamp lit the entire room well enough so I only ordered one. The shade on the lamp causes all the light to go down which really limits the lighted area so I'm having to buy another lamp that will provide full room lighting. I do like this lamp though for a bedside lamp that I can use to read with, or if I am in random need of light and don't want to get out of bed.

I purchased this lamp for a bedside reading light in August of 2011. Initially, I had it plugged into a surge-protected power strip, but at any of the two lower-level settings it caused the power strip to buzz. Eventually I ended up just plugging it straight into a wall outlet. At the end of November, one of the bulbs burnt out. For some reason, this also completely disabled the touch functionality of the lamp. I replaced the bulb to see if that was somehow causing the effect, but it still doesn't work properly. Now if I want to turn it off and on, I have to plug it in or pull the plug out of the wall outlet. For the three months it worked, it worked fairly well, but your money would be better spent elsewhere.

This lamp is very expensive for what it is. The lamp also give off very little light even on the high setting.

I have this light on my night stand next to the bed and it does not give near enough light to read with. I wouldn't buy it again.

This is an excellent lamp:very well made,functional and pretty. I didn't rate it higher only because it is not large enough for use as a nightstand reading lamp (which I would have known if I had done some measuring before ordering.)

I have been looking for a touch lamp in stores and was unable to find them. Very happy with the look and quality of these lamps. They have a three way light which is perfect. Very attractive.
