I first found this lamp on Lamps Plus website. A few weeks later, I couldn't get the lamp out of my mind so I decided to find it again and buy it. It was no longer available on Lamps Plus. So I searched Amazon-it was there!! For the same price or a little cheaper as Lamps Plus. I love the lamp. Beautiful color and it's heavy so my cat won't knock it over. The shade is oval so I can place the lamp on a narrow shelf so the lamp can be placed close to the wall. The lamp can take a higher watt bulb (150) so it gives off great light when you need it. It's just gorgeous. It came encased in styrofoam, so it was well protected and arrived in beautiful condition.

The lamp arrived promptly and in perfect condition. The base is a swirl of red and yellow starting dark red at the bottom and ending up orange at the top. I don't care for the lamp shade that came with it. It is covered with reddish and pinkish floweres, looks cheap and doesn't seem to compliment the base. I replaced it with a plain ivory barrel type shade and like it much better. The lamp compliments my room and I like it, however it seems a bit expensive considering I had to buy another shade.

I was so excited to receive this lamp as the on-line picture and description stated the lamp shade was vibrant orange poppies. My shade has pink poppies, I have taken it outside in the sunlight to see if indeed the flower was orange but no they were still pink no matter which way you looked at the lamp shade. The lamp shade was on top of the box when you open it so I have not decided to look at the base or not. This is such an expensive lamp for my budget but was in love with the design and the ORANGE poppies as shown in the on-line picture. So beware, the lamp shade has pink poppies not orange.
