I was immediately struck by the style of this lamp (as well as its one bulb sibling). On that front, the product image speaks for itself--either you find it attractive or not. There are several things that the images don't show, however. First, although it may at first glance appear to be metal, the body of the lamp is a dark wood. Second, the lamp looks like it could be unstable, but the base is much heavier than the rest of it, meaning its center of gravity is low and it remains very stable--I've never been worried it was going to tip over. Third, the cord emerges out of one of the long sides of the rectangular base, so this may affect how you would want to place it.
I really like this lamp--I can't say love, not for a lamp--but there are three potential caveats. First, it is not especially bright, even with two 100 watt bulbs, as the glass lampshades seem to consume a good chunk of the bulb's light. Second, that light is distinctly amber in color. It's almost feels like the room is being lit by torches (albeit without any flickering flames). Third, the switch for the lamp is on the cord, which feels awkward; as a result, the lamp is probably best suited for rooms where it can be plugged into an electrical outlet controlled by a switch. (The lamp's switch also controls both bulbs simultaneously, so there's no way to turn just one of the bulbs on.)
Overall, I am very happy with this lamp. If you like the style and don't find any of the caveats above to be a problem, I highly recommend it.

I ordered this lamp for a room with bamboo blinds and similar stained furniture. The build quality and overall look of the item is fantastic. It really served to kind of bring home the character of the room, giving it somewhat of an oriental look. As some other reviews have stated, I wish the power button was located on the base somehow instead of the cord... I would have given 4 stars if the first one had not been missing a shade. I would have given 3 stars if the second one had not shown scratching around the base. I ordered the first one to arrive just before I needed it, so used Prime Free Two Day Shipping. When I found it was defective, time was short and I added another $3.99 to get the second quicker. After combining the usable parts, I have a working lamp but still have to repack the other and take it to the post office. I guess it comes down to, are you feeling lucky? After saying all that, it is a very attractive and functional reading light for two, placed on a table between the sofa and chair. I used two 27 Watt (actual, not equivalent) CFL, and my wife thinks it's almost too bright. It goes great with our bamboo-esque themed sun room. Unlike most lamps that fade into the background of the décor this one actually catches your eye over and over. I find myself just staring at it at times.Mine was received in perfect condition and considering as of the time of this review only person had a negative experience I think you can chalk it up to the fact that no company is perfect.
