These lamps are beautiful, but everything in the box was broken or damaged. The shades were stuffed inside of one another, and the box must have been smashed at some point, because they both had creases in them. The lamps were in OK shape, but the part were you screw in the lightbulbs were bent as well. The lamp harps were miss-shaped, and the finials were scratched. Certainly not what you would expect if you paid $225 for 2 lamps. Thankfully, amazon has a great return process and really stands behind their products. So be aware, though you might be lucky and get some that are packaged better... if these lamps looked like they did in the photo (not broken), I would be very happy.

I was lucky enough to have these arrive packaged well and without damage. They provide soft lighting, so if these are your primary lights they might not be bright enough. I'm using these on end tables to supplement my main ceiling light so for me these were perfect.
