Amazon Prime -excellent shipping time. This one is pretty simple to assemble, there was no assembling instructions with the package. Instructions could help save a bit of time on the sequence of assembling. Assemble top parts and then join to the base. The shades are white colored plastic (not glass) and does not look that great on day light. When lit, the lamp looks nicer. I would have preferred frosted glass shades

I recently purchased this lamp they are plastic shades ok i wont break them easily and it does look nice and modern. Came packaged nicely but NO Directions it was a little hard to put together, I have put alot of things together my husband doing most assembly. Its not as sturdy as I would have liked, I have had about it a week and had to tighten 3 times now, i had to move it when old sofa left and new sofa came so it came loose, so place it where it wont be moved u may be fine, mine is staying put now but wished i had bought the one a little more expensive.

This lamp was perfect for our needs of a corner fixture and reading lamp beside the sofa. Really like the way it looks. It works well. Specs limit to max 40 watt bulbs and reading prior product reviews of the plastic shades discoloring, we switched to flourescent bulbs. After 2 months no problems. But, the plastic shades don't fully cover the ends of these bulbs, but just barely. It still looks ok. I briefly considered getting new shades but they are not readily changeable based on the lamp's assembly. While I would buy this lamp again as it suits our needs the best at a reasonable price, the quality is lacking. Besides the wattage limit and plastic shades, one of the plastic chrome knobs are askew and the base is not weighted heavy enough to ensure it stands straight on carpet. Assembly was straight forward.

We had a few hiccups with this product. The product itself is OK, it does the job and isn't that fancy (we didn't expect it to be). We had some issues with it which required it to be replaced. Well, overall, the difference was the customer service. They really tried hard and made it right. They responded to questions, shipped out a replacement, and followed up. So my recommendation on this is more because of them as a seller than the product itself.
