I highly recommend this desk light for anyone with a home office situated near others in the household, such as in a bedroom where someone else might be sleeping. This light illuminates my desk and computer very nicely while leaving the room comfortably dark for the husband still catching a few winks!

I have macular degeneration and this lamp relieves the strain of detail work. My only issue = installing the bulb. I had difficulty getting the 4 prongs properly seated so dropped the bulb, which promptly shattered. Manufacturer pleasant but no freebies offered and replacement bulb not available without special order. So I paid $22 + shipping for the replacement bulb. Excellent light source just beware the bulb installation process.
