My wife needed a little bedside lamp. This is a little bedside lamp. Pretty much no frills here, a simple switch located on the neck near the bulb, a blocky but sturdy appearing base, and a dark shade. It does its job, and she is pleased with it. It looks a little "hotel like" for me, but it does the job.

I bought two of these lamps. After I ordered them I was worried that the lampshade would attach to the light bulb, it doesn't, so you are able to use a CFL, or as I use, an appliance bulb which is smaller. They were well packed for shipping. I attached an inline switch to the cords, so I wouldn't have to reach up under the lampshade. From base to top of shade is about 14 inches. The base is 3 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The top of the base where it bulges out is about 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep.

I bought to for the end tables in my living room and expected them to be a bit bigger. However, they are pretty small but still look great and give off a good amount of light while saving some room. Nice sturdy shades and ceramic base. Great small lamps.

I bought this lamp go on my new L-Shaped steel desk with a black frosted glass top and the black Sauder Edge Water Cart that I use with the desk to provide more room. This lamp accentuates the other pieces and looks great when lit. It is black but with a slight purple hue. I love it and would highly recommend this lamp.
