I ordered this light to use on my painting table. Actually this is my second one. My first one lasted just over 5 years and finally the on and off switches would not work any more. But remember I used it for over 3 hours a day. So glad that I was able to find the same one. Its a great light for painting you can use the regular light bulb (also helps to dry paint faster) or the round bulb for natural light. Has a long arm so you can move it over your paint table to where you need it. Its really a great light.

When my eyes came to rest on this "Nessie LED Lamp" I knew immediately that I had to have one of these intriguing oddities. That is exactly why I purchased this lamp; it is odd. But it works very well as directional lamp. I am considering another one in a different color. I had to put it where the cat could not get to it to chew on the faux fur.
Everyone that sees Nessie in my room falls in love with it. I have informed them where it can be purchased and have told them NO they could not have mine.
Even though this lamp was marketed toward kids I love my lamp and am glad that I made the purchase. I am just a big kid at heart.
The more I look at this lamp the more I love it.
I HIGHLY recommend this lamp! It's got to be the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. :) You can straighten it so it points to the ceiling, or bend it over to shine on your book so you can read in bed.
It does take batteries so stock up! I love that option, now if we go camping this summer she can take it along and it's a safe light source to have in her tent!
The base is weighted just right so it doesn't fall over no matter how you bend it! So yes, buy it, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all! :D
I should add that there is a USB cord so you can plug it into your computer for power. (It IS a desk lamp so I guess that makes sense). But it also tells you that you can buy an adapter for it if you want to plug it into the wall socket! It tells you what kind of adapter to buy.

I loved the appearance of this banker's lamp, most of all the white shade. But alas, when the light is turned on, the glare is fierce. After weeks of trying unsuccessfully to adjust to the level of glare, I resorted to buying a spray-on opaque paint, and spraying both the underside of the shade and the outside with several coats. Finally, no glare. Unfortunately, the lamp now little resembles the one I purchased.

I purchased one of these about six months ago and I am now purchasing a few more for our home and friends. I own an LED lighting distribution company, so the first thing I did was put a Toshiba gu10 bulb in to replace the halogen. You would bake under this thing with the supplied halogen. But not with an LED, as they emit little heat. This is a sleek, functional lamp that does exactly what it is intended to do: light the page, and no more. I prefer warm light at home, so I used a 2700 Kelvin color temperature LED bulb. If you're getting an LED to replace the halogen, specify a wide "beam angle," between 25 and 40 degrees. Ask for an MR16 GU10. It's hard to find fixtures with a good mix of form and function.
But I have the cutest little place, and I looked at my favorite places, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and I found this lamp at Bed Bath & Beyond. I knew that Amazon would have it, and it is the same one @ BB&B, same manufacturer, etc. It fits w/ my room, my decor perfectly. It is just what I needed.
It's perfect! I love it. A lot. So for me to say it's great, that's saying something. IMHO

Easy to assemble. Instructions were a little sketchy. Whole lamp wobbles a little when touched.Best Deals for George Kovacs George's Reading Room? Reading Floor Lamp
This lamp is beautiful, of high quality, and very well machined for a perfect assembly. If I had only one criticism, it would be this. Although well packaged at the factory, the Styrofoam packing is VERY brittle. It literally falls apart once removed from the outer box and GETS EVERYWHERE. I think Wayfair should look at alternative plastics, or even molded paper products, as a means to pack the individual pieces. You have to be careful not to scatter all the tiny foam balls and smaller chunks to enable an easier clean-up. Otherwise, I highly recommend this lamp for reading or decor. It is beautiful and gives off good light.Honest reviews on George Kovacs George's Reading Room? Reading Floor Lamp

This is a lovely lamp except for the shade. The base is very pretty with the glass color tending more toward green than blue. It looks great in my sea foam bedroom. The shade is an off white fabric with a stiff back. It's OK when the light is not turned on. When the light is on the shade turns to a yellow-brown beige which I don't care for. The color is darker than it appears in the photo. There is a flaw in the way the trim was attached to the shade. It is uneven. The vertical seam is also very noticeable. I wish the manufacturer had offered this lamp with a pure white shade. It would have looked better with the soft color of the base.Best Deals for Lite Source LS-21352L/BLU Vatten Table Lamp, Chrome And Light Blue

Discount d.light LED Solar Rechargeable #S2 Task Light
a much more focused and localized beam than the d.light S20 solar lantern, this one is also smaller and much more compact. the solar panel/LED disc rotates easily on the spring steel legs (which can be removed easily if needed) for better charging angle or to direct the light where you want it. because there's no diffuser as on the lantern, this does not light a room as much as it provides focused light for reading or working. charges easily almost anywhere under any kind of light.
I bought a couple of them and liked them so much that I bought five more for myself and three more for a friend. And I still like them so much that I'm thinking of buying some more I don't know why since I've already got so many. But when something provides such a great value, I just feel like I can't resist!
I'm thinking maybe I should have a couple in each of my vehicles sure, they're not meant for that, but I could maybe hang them from the visors to stay charged. They're just so reliable and put out so much light for what they are that I just gotta have more of them!
Not only are these great lights, d.light also donates $ from each sale to needy school kids around the world how great is that?

You CANNOT go wrong with these little guys. They weigh nothing, they kick off a good, bright focused light, hence, the name Task light. It's perfect. I have three and will most definitely buy more. I tell everyone about them. The S2 comes with a usb cord, which is nice as a back up for power on a rainy day. My home was without power for almost a week during H. Sandy last year. We had Mr. Beams lights in our house (which I also love & highly recommend) during that time; they were are HUGE help, but these compliment those. At $13.95, you will be pleased. And the fact that part of the proceeds go toward helping families with lighting their homes in third world counties is fantastic.Best Deals for d.light LED Solar Rechargeable #S2 Task Light
Wonderful light. Great for camping and indoors alike. Our young children have adopted this light as their reading lights as it's quite bright and no heat. Then for camping, they do as well as a gas lantern ( ok, not as bright but for the price, just get multiple ). I love the fact it charges in indirect light which is a plus for areas with lot's of trees.Honest reviews on d.light LED Solar Rechargeable #S2 Task Light

On a forum I learned of the d.light S2. I have been using another brand of solar task light, and wanted to try the d.light. The d.light fills its purpose well. Plenty of task light, also plenty of light to brighten a room well above night light level. The stand works well to allow the light to be directed where desired. It's been cloudy and rainy since I bought the d.light, so I haven't determined how long it takes to give the battery a good charge. The battery came charged and I used the light at least 4 hours the first time and the battery did not run down. Being able to charge from a USB port is an advantage but also defeats the purpose of a solar rechargeable light. The lithium battery should last a very long time and while technically not replaceable, a handy person could install a new battery. I recommend the d.light S2 for its purpose, and a person who would buy the light for this purpose also likely will find many other useful applications for the d.light. For myself, I'm on a mission to reduce grid power usage to a minimum, so I also use solar rechargeable lights for general room lighting when bright light is not needed.Review of Chloe Lighting CH21B902TL 2 Light Mission Table Light

These lamps have a great look to them -the lampshade is as pictured and light shines through nicely. Also the pull mechanisms are well made and easy to use. The base is a bit lighter colored than pictured, and it's also fairly lightweight. Would be nice to have it be a bit heavier to resist toppling over more. I have kids in my house though, so I may notice this more than others.Had this lamp for a while now and still like it as much as when it was new. Great looking and it throws out a lot of light. Mini Fiber Optic Light - Blue Review
When I bought this I thought it changed colors, turns out it just stays blue. Nice for a night light.
These fiber optic mini trees are sold on Amazon.com, what better plays to find the best things? Anyways, they also happen to have the best deals most of the time, I saw these trees on there listed for $7.00 with free shipping, so I thought I would pickup a couple of them.
First thing I noticed when I got them out of the shipping box, is that the trees are incased in plastic tubes to protect the micro fibers. I just slide them out of the tubes and right away the fibers want to spread out in their tree like form.
The base is all made of plastic, but its very shinny plastic! Lets just put it this way, it looks like chrome, you touch it, you smudge it. The trees operate on 3-AA batteries, of course not included, or will operate by a 4.5VDC adaptor, which is also unfortunately, not included.
The base has a power switch on the bottom of it to allow you to turn it on or off. Though the micro fibers are not bright enough to see in broad daylight, you can however see them at night. Which is fine by me, since most neat light shows are done at night anyway.
For the $7.00 I paid for each one, I have to say I am quite impressed with the micro fiber trees. I just wish that they came with the adaptor so that I did not have to burn through batteries all the time. Get your rechargeable's ready LOL. 4 out of 5

I always wanted one of these. I love the novelty lights and things like that but my lava lamps always clumped up and I broke my electric static ball so I finally got one of these. It's nice to look at when I'm trying to go to sleep at night and just plain nifty.Honest reviews on Mini Fiber Optic Light - Blue
This light is only blue, so it does not change colors like the other ones do. At first it seems like not all of the fibers work, but it is actually just the beam of light from below the fibers is too narrow for the base, and therefore, not all the fibers light up. It will come packaged poorly, as last week I ordered the one that rotates and changes color by the same manufacturer, but it was delivered in a crushed box, and out of the product package inside the box. I ordered this "smaller" one to replace that one, and it is actually identical in size, with the only differences being this one does not rotate, and it does not change to the other colors.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mini Fiber Optic Light - Blue
This is such a neat toy. The construction is what you'd expect for the price (or maybe a little better), but the functionality is great. The colorful lights are beautiful. If you're debating whether to get this one ($2) or the one for $15, definitely get this one. The $15 one is the same size, same quality construction, etc., with just very slight differences in the fiber optic cables.Friday, November 29, 2013
Kids Line Nightlight Review
The elephant is adorable & a cute addition to our nursery. The only problem I have with it is that when it is turned on, you can see that the paint on the elephant was not done evenly. You can see streaks and light & dark spots on the head of the elephant, where the light blue is. If I saw this light in person, I would not have paid as much for it.
This night light puts out the exact right amount of light for a small room (10*10 or smaller). It does not get hot. The cover has a tendency to flip upside down as it is quite heavy. I resolve this with some kraft glue, so i won't be able to change the bulb probably, but it being upside down was annoying me too much. It has a slide switch for on and off which is very nice.

I ordered these solar lanterns on a Tuesday. They were delivered to my front door 2 days later. The colours are incredibly vibrant and what I most enjoy is the ease of use. I simply hung them on my front porch swing to charge in the sun and two evenings later, Voila! Wonderful light. All I had to do was unscrew the top hanger and turn the switch to ON. Now I have outdoor lighting for parties and my daughter's playhouse. Great product!
These are three different colors of Chinese lanterns that are solar powered. They charge during the day and they come on at dusk and remain on until the battery is depleted or until dawn, whichever comes first. They come collapsed and easily open up for hanging. We actually put a small rock into the bottom of the lantern to hold it fully open and they quickly stretched into the full open shape. You can remove the solar panel top and on the inside is an on/off switch that you need to set to on to allow the lamps to operate.
Each lantern contains an AAA rechargeable Ni-MH battery rated at 1.2 volts and 600 mAh. It is easily replaceable. The lamp needs to be mounted where it can get bright sunlight without obstructions for 6 to 8 hours daily. With a full charge the lanterns can stay on for up to 8 hours. The LED lights are rated to have a lifetime of 100,000 hours of operation. The lanterns themselves are 10 inches in diameter and are made of a thin synthetic material that easily lets you see the light at night.
These lights are easy to set up and hang and they add a nice ambiance to your deck, porch, patio or balcony. The lanterns are great to add accents to your favorite sitting areas or to use for a party, garden or front porch. They require no electrical wiring and you can charge them in the sun and move them into a location that you want to use them in for your convenience. They emit a soft light and the color of the lantern material adds color to the effect of the lighting.
Make sure that when you hang the lanterns that you do not set them below a light that comes on at night because that will prevent the lantern from turning on. We take our solar powered lights inside in the winter to keep the batteries from being damaged from the cold winter weather. Make sure to turn off the solar devices when you store them to preserve the battery.
One of our lanterns did not come on and I removed the cover for the battery and found that it had been knocked out of its holder during shipping. Simply plugging it into place solved the problem. I like these lanterns a lot and I rate them as 5 star items.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.

These look great and very festive at night hanging out on the patio. Please make sure to look carefully at the tops to align the markings to remove the cap to access the switch and battery. Just want folks to be aware that these measure approximately 6.5" in length, or about an inch longer than a typical-sized incandescent bulb (like 60 or 100 W variety). I was interested in getting one of these to replace the 50/100/150 W incandescent bulb in my living room lamp (the tall, free-standing kind), but found it to be too long as it comes out of the top by about an inch. For now I am waiting for a company to come out with a CFL 50/100/150 equivalent that matches up in size better.
The "color" of the light is very warm -not at all like the greenish-bluish tone one usually associates with fluorescent light. It does take a few seconds for the full intensity of the light to develop at the 29W (150W-equivalent) level, so keep that in mind. It comes on fairly dim, then develops the bright light you expect in about 15 seconds or so.
I'm currently in grad school (an older "non-traditional" student), and I do a LOT of reading. I'd been going through standard 3-way bulbs about one every 3 months or so, so I was looking for a more economical solution. The claim for "7 year life" is based on 4 hours per day of use. I know I use mine a lot more than that (more like 18 hrs or so), so I don't expect 7 years. But if they last more than about 24 months, they'll pay for themselves.
Also, my local discount hardware store charges $22.99 apiece for the exact same bulb, so Amazon's price is a good deal.
UPDATE: It's now March 19, 2010, and I'm still using the SAME 3-way CFLs I wrote about above. One of them is in my living room, where it's in use on the highest setting from around 9:00am until around midnight nearly every day; another one is in the bedroom where it's on from around 5:00pm until around midnight. That's right -these are the same bulbs I purchased in January 2008, and they're still going strong. They've MORE than paid for themselves. Maybe I lucked out or something (I've read some of the other reviews from folks who've had problems) -but I'm definitely planning to continue using these, and will be replacing ALL light bulbs in my home with CFLs as the incandescent ones burn out.
The "color" of this lamp is great and most would never guess it's a fluorescent lamp under the shade. But it's using about 1/5 the energy. It's also brighter than most when first turned on (CFL bulbs take a minute or so to reach full brightness).
There are many reviews claiming this lamp flickers, or only worked as a 1-way lamp, or died an early death, etc. While GE might have some quality issues, a more likely cause is 3-way lamp sockets tend to get "fried" from the extreme heat of 3-way incandescent bulbs (which can go up to 150 watts). 3-way bulb sockets also have less area for the added contact needed for 3-way bulbs which makes them more prone to problems. And the high heat, over time, corrodes the contacts in the socket. All this means 3-way lamps are way more likely to have contact problems. This is the fault of the LAMP not the BULB.
CFL lamps, being electronic devices, don't like to be turned on and off hundreds of times a day which is what's happening if you have a bad socket in your lamp that's causing flickering. So yeah, if you have an old lamp, with "fried" contacts, and you screw *any* CFL lamp in, and it flickers, it will probably have a short life span.
So, while I don't know for sure, I suspect many, if not nearly all, of the people complaining about problems with this (and any other 3-way CFL) bulb, have a bad socket in their lamp. CFL lamps, in their early days, had some major reliability problems. But they've been out for a long time now, have long warranties, and the manufactures have generally figured out how to make them reliable to avoid lots of warranty returns.
So before you screw an expensive bulb into your 3-way lamp, you might want to unplug it and use a pencil eraser to clean the 2 contacts at the bottom of the lamp socket just to be safe (unless it's a brand new lamp). The contacts should be bright and shiny. If they're discolored, dark, etc. you may have a problem.
There are better bulbs out there for the money.

If you're looking to move to more environmentally-friendly lighting, these are for you. These 3-way spiral fluorescent bulbs are wonderful. I haven't had mine long enough to address the extended lifespan. But they serve beautifully as a replacement for standard 3-way 50-100-150W incandescent bulbs.

Ok, the short version is this lamp works great. Honest reviews on GE 47448 12/23/29-Watt CFL (50/100/150-Watt equivalent) Energy
I purchased these bulbs (3 of them at almost $15 a pop) to do my part and replace old incandescent 3 ways. All three worked well upon arrival. It has now been a little over 2 months and not one of the three works correctly. One bulb works when it feels like it...which is rarelyand that actually is a good thing. It's a weird flickering mess. Then the other two only turn on on the second click, so basically it is the equivalent of a one way regular bulb. These were a waste of money for sure. Since throwing them away would be wasteful, I guess I grin and bear it for the next few years...that is, if they lst that long. Probably not..hopefully??There are better bulbs out there for the money.

I am so thrilled that they came out with energy efficient 3-way light bulbs! These are terrific and I couldn't be happier. There is one word of caution. These bulbs are very large so be sure to measure the height between the socket and the finial. I have nine 3-way lamps for which I purchased the bulbs. The new bulbs fit perfectly into 5 of them. The simple solution for the other lamps was to visit a lamp supply store and purchase new harps for the other 4. (The new harps cost only $1.65 each.) The new bulbs are working very well, and I think you will enjoy them.
