I ordered these solar lanterns on a Tuesday. They were delivered to my front door 2 days later. The colours are incredibly vibrant and what I most enjoy is the ease of use. I simply hung them on my front porch swing to charge in the sun and two evenings later, Voila! Wonderful light. All I had to do was unscrew the top hanger and turn the switch to ON. Now I have outdoor lighting for parties and my daughter's playhouse. Great product!

These look great and very festive at night hanging out on the patio. Please make sure to look carefully at the tops to align the markings to remove the cap to access the switch and battery. I accidentally removed one of the little plastic nubs that holds the lantern on the cap, but easily fixed it by wrapping the rim with black electrical tape, it can't be seen and it works fine. Put your glasses on and you will have no issues with the instructions.

These are three different colors of Chinese lanterns that are solar powered. They charge during the day and they come on at dusk and remain on until the battery is depleted or until dawn, whichever comes first. They come collapsed and easily open up for hanging. We actually put a small rock into the bottom of the lantern to hold it fully open and they quickly stretched into the full open shape. You can remove the solar panel top and on the inside is an on/off switch that you need to set to on to allow the lamps to operate.

Each lantern contains an AAA rechargeable Ni-MH battery rated at 1.2 volts and 600 mAh. It is easily replaceable. The lamp needs to be mounted where it can get bright sunlight without obstructions for 6 to 8 hours daily. With a full charge the lanterns can stay on for up to 8 hours. The LED lights are rated to have a lifetime of 100,000 hours of operation. The lanterns themselves are 10 inches in diameter and are made of a thin synthetic material that easily lets you see the light at night.

These lights are easy to set up and hang and they add a nice ambiance to your deck, porch, patio or balcony. The lanterns are great to add accents to your favorite sitting areas or to use for a party, garden or front porch. They require no electrical wiring and you can charge them in the sun and move them into a location that you want to use them in for your convenience. They emit a soft light and the color of the lantern material adds color to the effect of the lighting.

Make sure that when you hang the lanterns that you do not set them below a light that comes on at night because that will prevent the lantern from turning on. We take our solar powered lights inside in the winter to keep the batteries from being damaged from the cold winter weather. Make sure to turn off the solar devices when you store them to preserve the battery.

One of our lanterns did not come on and I removed the cover for the battery and found that it had been knocked out of its holder during shipping. Simply plugging it into place solved the problem. I like these lanterns a lot and I rate them as 5 star items.
