These lamps have a great look to them -the lampshade is as pictured and light shines through nicely. Also the pull mechanisms are well made and easy to use. The base is a bit lighter colored than pictured, and it's also fairly lightweight. Would be nice to have it be a bit heavier to resist toppling over more. I have kids in my house though, so I may notice this more than others.Had this lamp for a while now and still like it as much as when it was new. Great looking and it throws out a lot of light. Really like the mission look.
