Everyone that comes in to the room loves it! Besides being a great conversational piece it is a great light. It is very bright right where you need it to be.
The only thing I would want the company to do is to put black wiring on it instead of the light colored one they have on it.
I used a black magic marker and made it black and it looks great.
I would recommend this light to my friends and family or to anyone that needs a pool table light. It's awesome!

This was a birthday present for my boyfriend. I had it delivered to my sisters house & my brother-in-law installed it while we were off on a weekend getaway. When we got home, his eyes bugged out of his head!! He absolutely loves this billiard light fixture!! He said it's so much better on the eyes than the 4' florescent light he had hanging over the table & the 59" light is a perfect fit over his 8' table. The 3 shades are the perfect amount of light directly over the table w/ some lighting on the floor just around the edges. We could not be happier w/ this birthday gift!!!!

I own one of these lamps and while I like the design, I do have two complaints. First, the cord is too short. I hired an electrician to install it over my pool table, but it had to be hung higher than I wanted, due to the inadequate length of the cord. The electrician informed me that to attach a longer cord would have been a code violation. Secondly, the flimsy chain supplied is much too weak to support the weight of the lamp. Not long after I had it installed, I noticed that two of the links of the chain had separated to the point where there was gap of a centimeter or so. I replaced the chains with heavier ones from the local hardware store. Had I not done so the whole thing might have come crashing down onto the table without warning, possible damaging the slate or worse, injuring someone.

The lights themselves are very good. Cast a well-defined splash of light exactly where you want it. The handsome design also enhances the pool table area. One complaint the use of the lights would be made much easier if the assembly had included a switch for controlling the lights.

Being conservative in nature, I like the design very well. It's not standing out in apperence to over shadow the Pool Table and its darkness above the shades allows the balls to be seen easily. I made a good choice.
