I bought this online because it wasn't in the store and it was cheaper. It came as described and in less than a week. It's not too bright that I was able to turn it on during thos late night feeding sessions without totally waking the baby. I would recommend this lamp.

I love this lamp. It is so adorable and was the perfect finishing touch to my son's zoo animal-themed nursery room (and his bedding set wasn't even papagayo, so it really goes nicely with any jungle or zoo animals theme). Beautiful!

This was a gift for my coming great grand son, my grand daughter purchased all other accessories to go with that theme, and it looks very nice seeing it all together in the baby's room.

I love the look of this lamp, it is adorable and looks great in the nursery. However, the lamp was defective out of the box. The lampshade is just not well-made, the metal bracket is fastened to the top with only a thin piece of fabric tape, and was not attached when I took it out of the box. I attempted to re-attach the tape but it just kept falling. Since it was not from Amazon.com directly and returning to the 3rd party was a fiasco, I just hot-glued the heck out of the inside where the shade attaches to the bracket and now it is rock solid. It is frustrating that a brand new lamp has already required repair. We put a low-watt CFL bulb in it, so the bulb doesn't get too hot and melt the glue. It is an accent light in the room, so it doesn't stay on a lot, and since it's not a primary source of light so it's OK that the bulb is dim. I suppose at some point if the hot-glue fix doesn't last, I can pick up a not-as-cute shade to replace it. From the outside of the shade you can't tell it was repaired, but it's disappointing that something made for kids' rooms is put together so poorly.

The base, however, is cute as can be and solid, I don't feel like it will be easily knocked off the shelf.

I wish I had known how flimsy the shade was, I would probably have chosen a different lamp.
