I needed this clip on light for the guest bedroom. It has a nice wide clip with allowed me to clip it onto the bookcase head board which is about 3/4" thick. Guests use it to read. I will also say, it is mother proof which means it can be used by people of any age (currently up to 70 years old) and has not been broken by said mother.

This lamp was well constructed. The clamp is very strong and grips securely. The light produces a nice bright light.

I bought four of these to light a miniature movie set. I work in an old building with old wiring, and these lamps caused serious power surges and blown fuses. Also, three of the four 40 watt bulbs burned out within a week. We switched to similar clip lamps that used regular bulbs @40 watts and have had no problems since.

This comes with odd sized incandescent bulb. Turned out to be very small not suited for my purpose at all.
