Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I work on many different types of crafts (beading, stamping, embroidery, etc). As I am closing in on fifty, my ability to see up close is being hampered. This lamp/magnifier allows me to see even better than I did when I was twenty and working on the projects. With it I have far fewer frustrating mistakes that make me have to go back and re-do. It clips on the any work table, so I can simply move it anywhere I need to. I also tend to work on my crafts after work while watching TV. The light with the magnifier is great in this regard. I have used other magnifiers, but they did not help much when it was dark and would tend to throw light back toward my face if I brought a lamp over. This product has made life much easier.

Although I do not need it for reading, I would imagine that someone who had problems reading text, or was reading a book that was not available in large print, would also extremely helpful.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This light provides a great natural light and magnification for projects that require precision. My eye sight is pretty good, so I don't regularly use the magnification, but when I was working on needlepoint it worked great when I needed to see the small stitches. I will be purchasing this lamp (without the clip, for my aunt for Christmas, she knits and sews and this would make a great gift for her!) Highly recommended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I found this light the be just the right size for the occasional jewelry work I do. The brightness was good without being blinding. Importantly I find the color representation to be accurate. I also love that I can just unclip it and toss it in the big catch-all drawer in my desk when I'm not using it.

I always thought it would be great to have one, especially each time I pull out the magnifying glass the then try to find proper lighting. All has been solved because this item now has a permanent place on my desk. It is small and doesn't have the highest magnification but it sure serves the purpose if this all you need. Recommended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a great light for crafts, beading and any fine work where well directed light and magnification is needed.

The clamp is very strong and holds to the desk edge securely. The neck is stiff which is good because it holds the head in place without it drooping.

The head has a very nice light, white and maybe slightly bluish. The center has a flap that lifts to reveal the magnifying glass.

The power cord is about 6 feet long and has a switch about 1 1/2 feet from lamp. It would have been much more convenient to have the switch close to the clamp.

All things considered, this is a very good lamp for beading or crafting. It's strong and secure, seems very well made, and gives a very nice light that is not harsh on the eyes.

I give it 4 stars, a better placed switch would have earned it a 5.
