Misleading picture I just received these buffet lamps today and they look completely different than I was expecting. In the photo, the base clearly looks black with brown accents, brown marble at the base, and brown shade. These lamps are a MAROON BURGUNDY COLOR, nowhere near black. Since my room is brown and red the maroon color clashes and looks awful. Do not order this lamp set if you are expecting black. If you want burgundy and brown lamps, then you might be happy with this purchase.

Buyer beware: These lamps came in several pieces and each piece was packed tightly into styrofoam and wrapped with plastic and shipping tape. It was quite time consuming cutting everything out of the styrofoam, cutting the tape and cutting all the plastic off. There is no way to repack this lamp the way it was shipped because you have to destroy the packing foam to get it out. I'm not sure how I'm going to return this now.

Also, these lamps are HUGE. I would really suggest taking measurements before you order these because they are much larger/taller than typical buffet lamps.

I ordered this set of lamps for my son and daughter-in-law's new home. They are beautiful. The color fits their color scheme perfectly. A floor lamp to match would be lovely, but have not found one. You can not go wrong with this set of lamps. The price is right too!!

The lamps were just what the room needed. The price was certainly right. Would I use them in a room that they saw a lot of activity? Probably not. I'm not sure they are sturdy enough for that. But in the room they are in, they are just perfect.

These lamps are a little cheesy in the quality, but ok for the money. I searched many places for many months for a tall lamp, tan/brown in color for a reasonable amount of money....When I got them, I too noticed, that they were in multiple pieces and had to be assembled. Normally, this isn't a problem, except like the other reviewer stated, the threads are slightly off and may not align. I placed the one that didn't look as perfect on the opposite side of the bed (farther out of my view). Overall, it's not bad, but I ended up buying a set of much higher quality for a couple of bucks more from Costco and moved these to another room.
