Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Found these at a local store but at $35 more per lamp. The perfect updated lighting for a transitional/contemporary setting. They make me smile every time I see them!!!

I ordered 2 of these lamps for the night stands in our room. I originally thought these were wooden lamps but the tape that was attached to the lamp in packaging proved me wrong. When unwrapping one lamp the tape pealed off part of the wood from the lamp. Other than that, the lamps look nice in our room. We were going for a modern/contemporary look and these do the trick.

I bought the lamps for a very unique reason; I wanted rear speakers for surround sound, but i didn't want speakers taking up space... i just wanted a small wood table lamps. This fit the bill.

Things you should know these lamps aren't wood. They are a white ceramic of sorts covered with a paper thin wood covering. The smallest of scratches will take away the "wood" and leave a white mark. Both of mine came with small scuffs. Not a big deal... i just faced the sides with the scuffs backwards.

These lamps are hollow. This is exactly what i wanted. I bought a 2" full range driver, cut a hole in the lamp using a hole saw and jigsaw, ran a wire through the power hole, soldered the wire to the speaker and then installed the speaker. It doesn't sound great, but its totally good enough. I probably should have added more dampening, but i'm not reopening these speakers. I don't think the ceramic will take it.

Its a 3 step lamp... this doesnt work great with compact florescent bulbs... you need to turn it twice to turn the bulb on, then twice to turn it off. I have everything on remote, so this doesn't bother me.

Overall, its a good inexpensive lamp and it worked as a speaker housing which you cant say about most lamps. Just wish the veneer was of higher quality. I suspect this review may help 1 person. If you are that person, cheers.
