When these lamps came in, I loved them. They were exactly what I was looking for, and it was within my budget! The color is a light tan, with matching beads. But, after a couple of weeks use, I got sick and tired of having to be so careful with them. First of all, the light bulbs are not included, which didn't bother me much. Second of all, the bulbs that do go for it, are very delicate, and I have to be careful when I switch the lamp on. The switch is on the cord, which my husband hates. We have broken the bulbs numerous times, and one time, a bulb shattered when my husband accidently knocked it a bit while setting his alarm clock!!! They are heavy enough that they don't knock over very easy, but I would recommend spending at least $5-10 more for better ones you'll love, (and I am a thrifty shopper).

The lamp is pretty, however, I have had trouble getting bulbs that fit it. The only bulbs that I can find that really fit are the little 7 watt night light type bulbs. I did finally find a 25 watt bulb that worked (the shade doesn't really fit right with the bulb but it is usable), but I really wanted to use 40 watt bulbs. I feel that the manufacturer should specify bulb type that can be used, and not advertise the lamp as "no more than 40 watt bulbs".

I gave this as a gift and she told me that she could never get the lamp shade to stay on the bulb. It's one of those wire circle that attach directly to the bulb. You have to be very careful choosing a lamp on line, be sure to use a ruler or tape measure to help you understand how tall the lamp you are buying stands. Deceilving BUT very inexpensive, almost a case of you get what you pay for

Ordered two. one for each side of the bed. On broke. Company FURNITURE CREATIONS said that they would not replace it. Never ever buying from this company AGAIN
