I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this lamp. Given that the price is somewhat less than many other similar floor lamps, I expected less and got more. It was very easy to assemble. The finish is a beautiful deep brown/bronze, the lamp is sturdy and heavy and it does not sway at all like some floor lamps do. The shade is very pretty. Everyone who has seen it has complimented my on it. I would purchase a Dale Tiffany lamp again and would recommend it.

One might be forgiven for thinking this was a good quality lamp when you feel the weight of the base. One reviewer notes how 'sturdy' it is, and associates quality with weight. Heavy it is, quality it is not.
The finish was chipped on my unit. It looks like a poor paint job that will not hold up to normal everyday use. The best I can tell is it some cheap metal with a sprayed finish. Some accents appear to be made of plastic or resin. The switch looks straight out of the bargain basement electrical bin.
You get what you pay for here, a cheap lamp.
One thing to note is the height from the floor to the base of the shade is just 45 inches, yes less than 4 feet! This may be OK to accent a reading area over a sofa, chair, etc. It looks just plain odd when used as a conventional floor lamp. The height is low, the quality is low, the price is low. Cheap.

I have the matching table lamps and I still love the looks of them the overall color is bronzes and dark golds.
Yes they are mass produced in China so they don't have the value of a US Dale Tiffany but they are still very pretty and easy to clean.

It is perfect, especially for the price. We put it by an armchair for reading etc. This is one of the few Tiffany lamps that looks beautiful both lit and unlit. Many of these lamps look lovely when the light is off and look like plastic (even though they aren't plastic) when the bulb is not lit. This one is beautiful both ways. The amber pieces in the shade glow even when the light is off. We also love the amber leaves on top and wish they made more lamps in that style. I have only found one other with the same leaves on top, and the reviews for that one state that the lamp is unbalanced and tips over. The colors in this lamp are very neutral, without being boring. We wanted some neutral colors for two reasons: 1. we have a lot of color already in a small living room 2. we want to purchase some more Tiffany lamps and wish for them to blend. The lamp is not too large and not too small; it does not take up a huge amount of space. Again, well made, especially for the price.
