The similar clips made by Malibu are awful. The weird boxes made by Moonrays are cumbersome.
This product comes with the clip already connected to a pigtail of 18 ga wire a few inches long, and includes two small wire nuts.
For those of you who want a more elegant solution, it's not hard to poke out the little brass wire clips, remove the factory wires, install your own 18 ga wire into the holes, and push the clips back into place with pliers. That's why I did to connect a few of the little Moonrays 1 watt spots, which already had their own 18 ga wires connected.
The clip is a little larger than the Malibu style, which means it is easier to work with. It's also fairly easy to unclip and re-use.
The only frustrating thing is that I wish I could buy a "contractor" 10-pak of these things, without the wires and the wire nuts and the pretty packaging, for $15 or $20. But I can't.

This is a great product and a vast improvement over the standard connectors that come with Malibu lighting systems. They are indeed more expensive but you should consider the extra money a wise investment in your own mental health.
