Ordered two of these lamps for a great price. I had high expectations and was not disappointed. Dimmer controls can sometimes be uneven in function, but these worked smoothly with a solid feeling off switch. The lamp base itself is heavy gauge brass with a beautiful bronze surface treatment.

I have been a Holtkoetter fan for years. I have seven of their products. It has been my experience that it is safe to order from this company sight unseen and the item received will surpass your hopes and expectations. This one did exponentially. It's geometry is a tight elliptical form. Photos don't began to describe. I generally prefer a chrome or brushed stainless or brushed nickel finish, but NO regrets with this brushed brass. It feels appropriate with the style. I can't believe I own this beautiful lamp.
