I LOVE these lamps! I agree with the other reviewers, they look far more expensive than they are. I have mixed feelings about the shades....first I wished they were denser but now I think I like the light sparkling through them. I put AB finished bulbs in and it's really pretty. I also got matching candle holders which I put next to the lamps and put glass paperweights on them, it looks awesome.
I originally bought them for my sun room, but since my house isn't quite done with repairs from Katrina yet, the sun room is currently the work room, so the lamps are in the den. I think I will just buy more for the sun room. They're just that great. ;)

I love everything about this lamp EXCEPT the fact that the light really shines through the rattan. It is uncomfortable to look at. Do you enjoy looking directly at light bulbs? The fact that I overlooked this significant flaw and gave it four stars instead of one is a testament to what a great lamp it is otherwise. I think I will use parchment paper to line the rattan shade. The bulb is only 40 watts and parchment paper does not easily burn. I am that desperate. If this works, I will update my review and let you know how I did it.April 2013: Lining the lampshade was harder than I thought so I just replaced the shade.
