It does not stay up that easily, it keeps having to be tighten to stay up. The light is good but the magnifier is just OK.

I dont like it very much, because the lid does not stand open which makes the lamp bearly useable. Light is good.

After struggling with the mechanical issues of this light we gave up on using it. It is difficult to keep it open, take out the magnifier, etc .. it likes to keep closing itself up, so we just let it have its way and got a different product.
