I don't care for overhead fluorescent lights, as are found in most office buildings (including mine). So, I decided to get a table lamp to supplement my desk lamp. I really wanted one eligible for Amazon Prime.

This lamp is surprisingly sturdy, with a good weight to it. Though it says polyresin, it actually looks and feels like wood. Amazon's product picture is pretty accurate to how the lamp looks, and the color of the base. I have a beautiful cherry wood furniture in my office, and this lamp coordinates perfectly. The cream shade allows a good amount of light to come through as well. It looks so nice, in fact, that one of my coworkers ordered one for herself after seeing it!

Overall, this lamp is well worth the price and the convenience of having it delivered direct to my office. Highly recommended.

The lamp is works well for my needs to decorate my guest room. The only thing that I am not too thrilled about is that the on/off switch is in the power cord instead of under the lampshade. I've read a few reviews, and it seems that people are not reading the instructions or so used to the "normal" way a lamp is put together that they give an inappropriate comment about the lamp's functionality. When assembling the lamp, first put the lampshade on the lamp by slipping lightbulb holder through the inner ring in of the lampshade. Then insert the lightbulb in lamp's socket. Twist the bulb in securely, and this will hold the lampshade in place. Do not install the lightbulb first, and then try to balance the lampshade on the bulb.

I really love these little lamps. The first I purchased was solid, it had weight to it when you picked it up. About 6 months later I bought another, and although I still like it (3 stars), it feels flimsy and plastic, where as the first I purchased was the exact opposite. My original hasn't had any problems, it's a cheap stylish lamp, but I am disappointed in the drastic change in quality.

This is a perfect little lamp that fits into a small space. It is beautiful and gives of a lot of light. This lamp looks exactly like the photo in the ad and the plastic base is painted to look like wood. To a casual observer, I don't think the difference is obvious at all, and the design is so simple that it doesn't attract a lot of attention. It just provides much needed light in a very dark corner of my study I really like that the shade is white, which makes the light so much more functional.

I also like the low price. It is so great that I didn't have to spend tons of money for this simple little fix. Not high end, but it works, is attractive, and has made the room so much more pleasant! It is low priced, but not trashy looking!
