Purchased this ceiling fan to be put in an "old world" decor and it compliments the room wonderfully. Installation went well. The fan motor is quiet and the fan was perfectly balanced with no weights required. It was flush mounted for a lower profile but liked the fact that it could also be rod mounted. My only complaint is that the light can only be used as accent lighting. This is NOT a reading light.

Have you ever purchased a ceiling fan, spent an hour installing it, just to hear rattles and the tick, tick of a defective ceiling fan??? Well, that's what you'll get if you purchase this fan. It looks great, but you can't use it. I sent two emails to Monte Carlo with no response. I finally got them to answer the phone. The customer service person and the technical service person were both rude. I purchased two of these fans to go into the same room, so they need to match. I'm returning both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
