Don't go by the ratings I gave this. For some reason Amazon thinks this is a toy and its not. It's not really a reading lamp either. The one thing I couldn't find any info on before I bought it was what wattage did it take. It's recommended not to use anything higher than 60 watts. Now that I've finished telling you what it isn't, I'll tell you what it is.It's a great collectible and decorative piece. Lots of people don't link the lampshade, but I do even if Matt Smith is not a favorite of mine. It complements the TARDIS base and adds to the overall WOW look of it. Before I knew that wattage limitation I was going to order another one and put both in my living room. After I received this one I decided to use it as a light in the kitchen for when there isn't a lot going on and saving on energy.
I still might buy another one because this is just an awesome piece. Well worth the $50.
So, if you like Dr Who and collect Dr Who collectibles, add this to your collection. If you want to start collecting Dr Who, this would be a nice starter piece.
I would recommend this and I do recommend it to all Whovians out there....wherever and WHENever you are.
I just went back and gave everything 5 stars even if it isn't a toy.
