Upon receiving this item I was in awe of it's design until my son pointed out the cracks in the globe at the lowest part. The 3 quarter size spider web looking cracks seemed to perhaps be caused by heat as though the lamp was a returned damaged product. In addition the abaca rope was coming away from the base in 3 places. I had to use super glue to fix it. I did not return because I had thrown away packing materials and just repaired it the best I could and cancelled the order for the other one on backorder. Very dissapointed that it passed inspection.

This is a pretty lamp. Even though most of them come in tattered and broken. One of mine came in and wouldnt even light up. THE HASSLE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT WORTH THE PRETTINESS OF THE LAMP!! Save your self!!! I had to deal with uneven and DARK living room for a LONG time, paid for shipping TWICE. (Almost $30 as a college student.) This company showed absolutely no remorse or care at all for my extra expenses or awful experience. The pictures do not show the cracks or the unravelled thread or possibly the entire lamp defective in the picture or description. If you buy it.. Dont get your hopes up.

Even though this lamp was not exactly what I was expecting, it has turned out wonderful. I thought is would be floor lamp. I was not. It does have a few micro fractures but they are just that, micro fractures. Almost invisible unless you are looking very close. It does looks great in the quaint little nook I have it in. I am very satisfied. I reminds me of Dr Seuss and I like it.

I love this lamp. Received it today in perfect condition; no cracks, nothing. Was worried from other reviews but really wanted it. I'm glad I bought it; it's exactly what I wanted. It's got good weight on the bottom, is not flimsy. Id say it's actually a little bigger than I imagined which is awesome. Very unique and whimsical. It puts off a wonderful orange light which looks great against my teal walls. I recommend this item but hopefully you will have as good shipping results as I did.
