Now, to find a seller through Amazon and free shipping makes this far less risky for my next drafting lamp; they hang like a boom with a mechanism that holds the lamp like a crane over the surface that needs lighting. each lamp head has two 15W Fluorescent tubes that light up the area directly under the head; the head swings through and arc described by the ~20" boom that swings from the very heavy 10" X 6" base that will rest on the desk surface.
This lamp's head has three tubes rather than the two in the original design.
I'm goind to order ANOTHER.

When first using the lamp I had difficulty getting one of the end bulbs to light. After much trial, I found that messaging the on button will get all the bulbs to light. It may be that the button contact(s) for all three bulbs are not uniform. I also think that the bulbs are too close together making it difficult to replace a spent bulb. I like the ability of positioning the lamp to get the light where I want.
