The lamp I received had a bulb that did not work. I can't find a 30 watt bulb so I used a 25 watt bulb and the lava doesn't move. I had it plugged in for 6 hrs. I no longer have my receipt because I didn't think a lava lamp wouldn't work. I will not order through Amazon again

I bought this for my new room in Texas when I moved in with my dad. Just to add something and I knew I'd been wanting a lava lamp, just not the typical one you know? And pink is my favorite color, I thought the black base looked super sleek.

I loved it, it gave off the perfect amount of light, and tint. I watched it for like two hours when I first got it hahah because it had been so long since I'd seen a lava lamp.

I bought this in December of 2011 and the past few months, the lava will take FOREVER to rise and when it does, it only rises maybe an inch and falls. and if I move it while it's on, the light flickers like crazy. So maybe the bulb is just about to go out, still though thought it would last longer than that!

All in all, I love it. It looks awesome if you like dim lighting. (and pink!) :p

I bought this as a gift for my 10 year old niece. Turned it on and waited an hour or so and the wax was still in a blob. Not quite the effect we were hoping for and definitely not what the website showed.

First product was missing top cover/cap. After leaving on for 4 hours, the wax melted, but would not circulate. Contacted support and they sent me a replacement, no questions asked. They also followed up via email effectively. Replacement had cover/cap but the wax still does not circulate after being on for over 5 hours. Disappointed in product, but selling company has good customer service.

I have to revise my previous rating. I've had this lava lamp for over a year now. As indicated previously, the wax didn't really circulate well the first 2 times I powered it on. However, after the second use, the wax has started circulating. I have no idea why it didn't work the first time or two, but every time I've used it since it's worked perfectly. It does take ~45 minutes to get to full heat before it really gets going, but I think all lava lamps are that way.
