This is a beautiful lamp, and it just changed the look of my living room. The reddish Orange glow inside the mesh shades is indeed very cool. It has a very contemporary look. I have a metal wall art painting in my living room and I am pointing one of the shades towards it, and it just perfectly highlights the art work. Highly recommended.

My lamp doesn't stand really straight... it lists to the side a bit, just enough to be distracting though. And it's shiny steel, not brushed, so it looks cheap to me. I tried directing the individual lamps to highlight pictures on the wall but it doesn't really have the right angle adjustments to do that effectively and if it shines on a picture with glass covering it, the reflection of the lamp beams back at you (not good). And so far I haven't had luck directing the lamps to help me read sitting in my chair either. If it weren't such a hassle to try to get it packaged up for return, I would do it. It comes fully assembled so it's a big box to deal with. The lamps don't really have a reddish glow to them, so don't expect that. I think I learned that ordering big items like this from a store I can return them to makes more sense.
