I was looking for a new desk lamp. I really like the color temperature that a halogen light puts off, but I hate the heat they generate. LEDs solve the heat problem, but I don't like the color temp of the light they often generate. The Prism solves this problem by allowing you to dial-in the color temp you want.

I was able to get exactly the light I wanted with minimal heat. I thought the price was a bit high for a desk lamp, but given the functionality I got, I am happy with the purchase.

This is a really really good/great lamp. It's easy to maneuver into place. The color of the light is easy to soften/brighten. The instructions that came with it actually note that over time the nut that secures the LED arm to the base may loosen (from frequent movement) and may have to be tightened. It's the type of bolt that can be tightened with a coin. Very easy. Lamp seems sturdy. It's priced well here for what you get. I'll update this review if anything changes with the function of this lamp. For now, I really love it!

Arrived intact, good lamp, very adjustable, solid foundation, some parts are metal, some are plastic. The touch switch is very nice to interact with, the light color adjustment is neat but the light itself is not "natural" it has an artificial quality. I like this lamp overall and it's worth the money for the quality.

My desk has been lamp free for a year-and-a-half and I just couldn't take it anymore. I also have a hard time making decisions, and with the plethora of desk lamps on Amazon, it was taking a while. I ordered this lamp after looking at about a thousand, and couldn't be happier. I'm in law school and sometimes stay up late studying. My overhead lights weren't cutting it due to my shadow covering the text (so distracting). This lamp cures the problem, stylishly. I love the fact that you can change the type of light emitted--it will be nice for the times when I'm actually falling asleep in my book (there's a very bright setting) and also for when I just want a little extra light. The touch feature to turn on the lamp is also great, very modern.
