Poor instructions that don't seem suited for the lamp that was shipped. Stand doesn't go together well. Took a long time to gerry-rig the connecting pieces. Cord was coated with baked on styrofoam that took considerable effort to remove still some there. Base has a split and the top of stand has a chip. Glass has plenty of imperfections. Looks pretty good from a few feet away, but close inspection reveals the flaws. Made in China. The quality control is minimal probably think the buyer will find it too much trouble to return. Have thought about returning but the effort of having to repack and ship it makes me just want to settle and accept it for what it is...there is a reason it cost what it does it could easily have been much less.

These are ok as long as you don't look too closely at the shades. I don't know what the product is that they used to hold the glass together ~ it is certainly not any kind of metal solder as you would expect a piece of "tiffany" stained glass to have. It's more like some kind of black glue. The glass is also quite gooey or slimy as a result. I've had to spray mine down with a white vinegar mix to clean them. I have 2 floor lamps and 4 table lamps. I will say that they are pretty when you turn them on, and they give a lot of light since they hold 2-60watt bulbs. The bases are heavy and the rest of the lamp good quality ~ not surprising I guess in today's world of China made crap that the shades would be of shady quality. I was torn by the mixed reviews for this awesome looking lamp. I didn't expect an authentic glass and leaded solder craftsman style lamp. I expected quality similar to the $30 Mainstays lamp I got at WalMart a few years back. I do understand you can pay hundreds of dollars for a quality lamp of this style, and didn't expect a $700 lamp.The design, color and textures in the shade were very nice. The weight of the base, as others have mentioned, is very good. This could have been a really awesome lamp design and style wise.
Unfortunately, the other comments about poor quality & Packaging are spot on. This came in the most insane Styrofoam ever, had useless instructions which were only necessary as no combination of hardware included allowed the shade to be securely fastened to the lamp. The only coherent part of the instructions was the page that stated: "We're sure we included all the parts, so don't call or return." Seemed that much funnier after having to go to the hardware store for glue and washers (with no luck).
Worst of all, the lampshade was off center, bulged out, and had a huge gap right down the middle of one side. I tried to glue it back together, but the shape of the shade prevented the gap from ever remaining closed. Worst yet, even with the gap, the top was so bent and misshapen that the shade sat completely cockeyed on the base.
Despite hoping the good reviews were right, this turned out to be a huge dud.
