I bought two of these lamps for a room without any overhead lighting. I needed something that would illuminate the whole room, and this was the only non-halogen lamp I could find that put out 300 watts (2-150 watt bulbs) of light.

The lamp is easy to put together and reasonably stable. I like the unique design. The only on/off switch is a step switch on the floor. This is only a problem when my toddler starts playing with it.

The only drawback is that the bowl of the lamp is too shallow to cover the 150 watt lightbulbs so you can see the tops of them from across the room.

All in all, though, I'm happy with my purchase.

Very nice lamp. Went together easily. Only thing I don't like is the bulbs show above the shade. But since it gives such great light I can ignore that. Light is really bright. Would recommend.

Although this lamp is not top quality, it is very good for the price. You'll want to ensure all six (2 in each leg) of the strange looking lit'l screws at the top are screwed in. This helps to better stablize the lamp. It looks good in the room, and balances the light in my room beautifully.
