I bought this fun colored lamp to go in my son's nursery, I have purchased other ikea lamps and seem to find that the smaller ones always have dim light, which is exactly what I wanted for night time feedings. It looks adorable in his room and gives off a nice warm ambience, he seems comforted by the warm glow the light emits. Piecing the little orange shade together was kind of difficult until I got the hang of it but was well worth it. A great buy for the price! :)

It is a great little design, but, the photo doesn't demonstrate the color very well. The glow was just too intense, I felt like I was at a stoplight or encountering a hazard. I love the idea, design, and, I love orange. However, the light it gave off was an abrasive glow, not a calming one.

It's a great little light. I love how it looks turned on. It does cast an orange glow over the whole room at night. My husband says it looks like we're on a submarine. I got it for the nursery so we could keep the light low when we go in to change diapers, ect and it works very well.

We tried to purchase this lamp at Ikea but they were sold out so we came to Amazon. I love this lamp. Its retro look and nice orange color were a perfect fit for our son's colorful nursery. I was surprised when it arrived because it came in a flat box as a bunch of plastic slats and some hardware. I couldn't figure out how this circular lamp fit into this flat box. I pulled out the directions and set to work. The directions aren't great. Luckily, Im pretty handy and figured out how all these plastic slats fit into one another, but not without some frustration. I could see this project giving some people some serious trouble. Once I had built the globe, the hardware was easily attached and we were ready to go. The light is beautiful. It's not bright enough to light an entire room but its soft glow is perfect for night feedings in a nursery. Even when it is not lit, its bright color adds to the decor of any room.
