These new type packaging GE 200 watt bulbs produce 20% fewer lumens than they did two years ago.

They draw the same number of watts, but produce less light.

I wonder not only why, but what was done to the bulb to reduce it's output.

Did GE do this to increase the lifespan? Or is it just due to China's lower quality manufacturing methods.

These Light Bulbs are wonderful with the exception 5 out of 12 of the 12-Pack that I received, the bulbs were either broken, or did not work. But for the bulbs that work, I appreciate the bright light -Thanks, but next time, please wrap fragile items better than what I received, perhaps this is the reason some of the bulbs were broken. All non-working bulbs, I am not sure what the sender did, but perhaps try to past the bulbs off. Also, two of the bulbs when placed inside the light fixture, blew out, once the light fixture was turned on, imagine that. Thanks for asking/enjoy your day.

The product is great! I love these 200 watt GE bulbs

for the wide range superior light in my front hall lamp.

THE VENDOR WAS JUST AWFUL!!!! DAMAGED GOODS!!!

2 CRACKED BULBS OUT OF 12 IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

That would increadse the losss..w/further waste of effort & time.
