We needed two short lamps to provide reading and accent light on either side of a sofa in a room we recently redecorated. We didn't want to spend much money for this area but wanted lighting that looked soft, unimposing and a bit contemporary. These little lamps are adorable. They look exactly as the photo. No surprises. Actually, they are a bit more substantial than I had imagined. They came in great shape although one of us (I won't mention my husband) broke one of the lamps and we had to order yet another one. So much for trying to keep our budget manageable. I gave three stars because they are perfectly satisfactory for our needs but not a five-star lamp quality.
