The dim bulb who packed the lamp decided to bubble wrap the light bulb. It broke as I had no idea what I was unwrapping. The color is not really black, but more chocolate.Best Deals for ORE International 8310ES Touch-On Table Lamp, Black
I like that you just touch the lamp to turn it on/off, that's pretty neat.I believe the description says the lower half of the lamp is black when in fact it's brown. I bought it because it was black...I like it so much though, I think I'm just going to paint it black. Another discrepancy between the description and the actual lamp is the light bulb max wattage. The description says something like up to 100w while the sticker on the lamp says 40w max. Also, The lamp calls for candelabra bulbs...no mention of that in the description. So, if you like it in spite of all these things...buy it...it's a nice lamp.

I ordered two of these for my apartment living room. They are a little shorter than I expected, but when I re-read the product description, the lamp height is exactly as described. Style wise, they are very nice and complement my contemporary decor perfectly. They are a little light weight so tip over more easily than I like, but the fairly broad base compensates some for the lack of weight.On the description it says they use a 150 watt 3-way bulb which is not included. However, both lamps did include a smaller bulb that doesn't give as much light as I need for reading. I bought them expecting to be able to use a 150 watt bulb, which I haven't purchased yet. I'm hoping the 150 watt bulb will work in them.
Overall, they are nice lamps and I like their "look."
