Overall this is a nice lamp, but I do think that it is over priced. The touch on/off switch is nice, but it doesn't have the 3-way dimming feature mentioned in the item description. I would recommend this lamp if you can get it on sale, but at full price this lamp just isn't a good buy.

Got this yesterday, delivery was not quick. Due to the large shade, it has a few drawbacks: its awkward to put together (2ppl would be better), and it's so dark. For a 100 watt bulb, you would need a few of these to just get decent light. returning it is a hassle, so I am going to look for another shade. The base and touch on/off switch is nice. Due to the horribale shade this gets 1 star.

Everything came in one piece with no damage. After I put it together the lamp the base was solid and it has good weight to it.The shade looks awesome and gives you that soft warm light. The lamp is a three position type so all you have to do is touch the lamp and you can switch from different intensities.
