The lamp arrived in good condition. It looks nice and seems sturdy enough, but beware that the shade is not removable; I'm a little worried that it may be hard to clean inside, and it's sure to collect dust over time.
The one thing I'm kind of scratching my head about is that they put the inline cord switch right about in the middle of the 6-foot cord. Usually on table lamps with a cord switch, they put it pretty close to the base of the lamp so you can reach it easily, not so it's dragging on the floor behind the table. For now I've looped up the cord with a twist tie, but I think I'm going to try to shorten it and relocate the switch closer to the lamp base. If you're going to plug the lamp into a switched outlet then of course this won't matter to you.

These lamps work great and provide enough light to read a book.They are well made and UL listed.
We use them in the bedroom.
