I'm using this in my nursery; it's fairly heavy, but the tripod base isn't terribly secure, so I assume at some point it will be knocked over and broken. That's ok, I can live with that. Assembly is super easy. The lamp shade is really cheap, poor constructed, flimsy material, and doesn't sit flat when the lamp is put together. I may redo the material on it or find another shade that doesn't look so cheap. This is the most modern bird lamp I could find, so I'll put up with the drawbacks because it really matches the nursery aesthetic, but I wish it were better made.
