Somehow this came up as a floor lamp when I found it. The dimensions given in the description are completely nonsensical, but I bought it anyway. It's about 3 feet tall, so it makes a really short floor lamp or a really tall desk lamp. I'm using it as the latter, and it seems fine for that. Assembly was easy and it gives a cool ambience to my 1970s office.

I bought this about a year ago. It's simply just paper mache but it's lasted this entire time with not a single tear. Great product, fragile but long lasting if treated properly. The light switch is a step button so it's convenient for putting behind something and have the button come out the side. The reason you want to put it behind something, however, it because the paper mache is too thin to block out the light bulb that is in the dead center of the lamp and it's just super bright, almost blinding. But like I said looks pretty classy behind a short table or in our case a flatscreen tv on a 3ft stand.
