I've tried the compact florescent blubs since they came out and they're expensive junk. Even so-called good quality bulbs which are expensive last less than 1 year. So I'm back to incandescent light bulbs and I don't care what Nancy Pelosi thinks.

how foolish it is not to heed to warnings of incandescent bulbs being phased out.it is a must to buy 100 watt light bulbs asap.the Philips are so far really good. I highly recommend.

The long life bulbs are too dim. I use these only in the kitchen so that I don't cut off my fingers when I dicing. One of the bulbs malfunctioned within a week, but the rest are doing okay. I need them to see.

Since Congress didn't actually end up banning 100 watt incandescents I forgot to stock up on them. So, if you like to see after the sun goes down and hate fluorescents, but don't want to spend a fortune on Reveal bulbs, here is an option. They work fine.
