The lamp is great but the assembly was awful. The electrical cord was pre-assembled running through all the pieces , which in theory is a good idea. However, the table tray was put on upside down (base wood is not a nice finish and the drawers are obviously not functional wrong side down), requiring me to disassemble the wired connections and clips at the bulb connections and re-run the cord the proper way through the table center hole. With some circuitry knowledge and clever tooling, the lamp assembly was complete in about an hour however if the factory work was performed correctly assembly should be < 5 minutes.
Some quality assurance wouldn't hurt Lite Source, but so far the lamp is working great and the wood color and table tray design were exactly the addition to my room I was looking for!Great item. Extremely well made and packaged! The base is heavy and constructd to highest standards. Drawers look great. Shade and finial work perfectly with the lamp. A++++++++++
