I purchased this lamp to use by my oven, as I only had a ceiling fixture that was not adequate. This is perfect. Not only is it gorgeous, but according to the sales page it should last me at least 4 years, that's for 24/7 usage. For $29 you can't beat that price! It is also nice and bright, and I can focus it on one burner, or the whole stove if I wish. I will also use this as a night light for the kitchen, so I didn't care if you had to unplug it to turn it off. For me this lamp is perfect!

There is no switch. Your options are unplugging it or disconnecting at the connector. I had hoped maybe bending it would turn it off but no such luck. If there was a switch at the base like the SL-606 model this would get the last star from me.I like LED lamps and this is nice and bright ... just not practical if you have to unplug it to turn it off.
